Preliminary hearing set for Sullivan

One of two inmates who allegedly climbed through a vent to escape the Webster County Jail appeared in Magistrate Court Monday.

Jason Patrick Sullivan is facing felony charges after he and another inmate, George Johnson, allegedly climbed through a vent in a locked room behind a dryer.

His preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 29.

Sullivan is charged with escape from custody and second-degree criminal mischief.

They allegedly used two sheets tied together to reach partway to the ground from the third floor of the jail.
