Rhone sought in drive-by shooting

Fort Dodge police are searching for 18-year-old Xavier Rhone, the suspect in an apparent drive-by shooting that occurred Monday.

Rhone is facing charges of going armed with intent, intimidation with a weapon, carrying weapons and two counts of assault while displaying a weapon.

He allegedly shot at a Fort Dodge home twice from a black four-door car.

No one was hit during the alleged shooting that happened at about 2:10 p.m. at 1603 Third Ave. N.

A car that matched the description of the one used in the shooting was towed from the 1400 block of Ninth Avenue S. Monday afternoon.

Tykay Diekman said she saw the shooting Monday.

“The car drove by and there was a gunshot,” Diekman said. “Then he shot again in the driveway.”

The car then drove around the corner, she said.

Officers are continuing the investigation. Anyone with information about this incident or Rhone’s current location is encouraged to call the Fort Dodge Police Department at 573-1426 or Webster County Crime Stoppers at 573-1444.
