Dodger boys fall short in opener

MARSHALLTOWN – Making its season debut, the Fort Dodge boys golf team dropped a dual meet to Marshalltown on Thursday.

The Dodgers carded a 368, while the Bobcats shot a 297.

Thomas Hartley (81), Drew Hansen (87), Thomas Lang (96) and Devin Summers (104) were the FDSH counters.

“The first time out was obviously a little rough,” said Fort Dodge head coach Ryan Kinseth. “There were a lot of good things I saw, but we still have some things we need to work on and keep improving.”

Next action for the Dodgers is Monday at the Indianola Invitational. Start time is set for 10 a.m.
