WEBSTER CITY – Cheryl Anne Utech, 67, long time resident of Webster City died Sunday, August 10 at Mary Greeley Hospital, from health complications. There will be a Memorial service to celebrate Cheryl’s life, Tuesday, August 19 at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church Social Room in Webster City. (1229 Beach St.)
Cheryl was born August 19, 1946 in Hamilton County. Cheryl was the daughter of Doris Marie (McCollough) Fink and Harold Frederick Fink of Webster City, Iowa. Her parents and daughter preceded her in death.
Cheryl was reared and educated in the Webster City Schools, graduating with the Class of 1964. Cheryl worked at Home Appliance when in High School and later worked at the Turkey Plant in Ellsworth. In 1969 Cheryl went to work at Franklin Mfg. Until its closing on March 31, 2011.
Cheryl was united in marriage in 1965 with Verlyn Gregerson of Lehigh, Iowa and later divorced in 1970. To this union a daughter (Joelle Marie) was born but lived only a short time. Cheryl married Rex D. Utech in 1975 and divorced in 1995.
Cheryl is survived by uncle, Thyrol (Alene) McCollough, Webster City, aunts, Patricia (Leo) Klaver, Kamrar and Delores Crawford of Iowa Falls, and several cousins.
Cheryl was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City, past member of the local UAW #442 and Moose Lodge. Cheryl had special bonds with different people throughout her life and cherished them all. Her care givers were many and she loved them all. Her favorite pastimes were gambling and playing cards and dominoes. Memorials can be left to the discretion of the family.
