Search for man in E.G. called off
EAGLE GROVE – The Eagle Grove Police Department called off a search for a man wanted on a court order from Cerro Gordo County Thursday afternoon.
Cell phone records showed that Jordan N. Pohlman, 23, left Wright County for Cerro Gordo County, which is out of Eagle Grove’s jurisdiction, according to Eagle Grove Police Capt. Josh Kuisle.
When Pohlman saw Eagle Grove police he ran into a field near the Eagle Grove city limits, Kuisle said.
“An officer observed him running into a cornfield,” Kuisle said.
The Iowa State Patrol sent in air units to search for Pohlman.
Kuisle could not say what the court order was for.
Pohlman is black, 6 feet 6 inches tall, thin and has short black hair. He was last seen in Eagle Grove wearing blue jeans and a white shirt.
Eagle Grove police do not believe he is a danger to the public, but it asked people to lock their doors.
“He was hiding from us and we didn’t want him to go into someone’s house,” Kuisle said.
Anyone who sees Pohlman is asked to call 911.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Department, Iowa State Patrol and the Kossuth County K-9 Unit assisted in the search.
