Mary E. Taylor, 75, of Fort Dodge passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Mary Ellen House was born November 28, 1938 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She attended Corpus Christi Academy and graduated from St. Edmond High School in 1956. She graduated from Creighton Memorial, St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. In 1962, she married Henry H. Taylor at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge. Mary worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha and several other hospitals throughout the United States. Her children were born in San Diego, California and returned to Fort Dodge in 1991.

She was a member of the Legion of Mary, Monican Mothers, and Holy Trinity Parish.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Lynne Ramirez of Cornwall, New York; Lisa Taylor of Irvine, California; grandchildren, Brandon, Meghan, and Benjamin Ramirez; Chase Taylor; and brother, Patrick House of Fort Dodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beatrice (Kane) House and a brother, Michael House.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
