CECIL SEEDEN

LAKE CITY – Cecil Seeden, 88, died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Craig Zandi officiating. Burial will be in the Lake City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with family present after 5 p.m. at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.

Cecil Duane Seeden was born on July 17, 1926 in Glidden, Iowa to Harm and Anna (Platt) Seeden. He served two years in the United States Navy and on March 6, 1949 he married Marilyn Sittig at Rockwell City. He worked as a farmer all his life and was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City.

Cecil is survived by his wife Marilyn of Lake City, daughters Donna (Clyde) Westcott of Lake City and Diane (Denny) Subbert of Greenfield, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, sisters Lois Dickey of Lake City and Shirley (Art) Hensel of Apopka, FL, and sister-in-law Irma Seeden of Lake City. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence Seeden, and brother-in-law Junior Dickey.
