Joyce O. Henry was born April 24, 1929 in Sioux Rapids. She graduated from Sioux Rapids High School. She then worked for the NW Bell Telephone Company in Storm Lake as an operator. She was united in marriage to Albert “Spark” Koth on July 24, 1949 and the couple made their home in Storm Lake. Joyce was a loving mother to three and a homemaker. Albert passed away on September 22, 1975. Joyce was then employed at Citizen’s First National in Storm Lake. She married Lyle Haldin on December 26, 1986 and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. The couple enjoyed their time at the cabin in Spirit Lake. Lyle passed away in August of 1992. Joyce was employed with Weight Watchers for over 30 years. She was involved with numerous church and school activities at St. Paul Lutheran School and Church. Joyce also volunteered at the Fort Dodge Public Library and Friendship Haven.

Joyce’s life revolved around her Lord, her family, and her friends. Her children will remember how she showed the way to live in faith, even through life’s sorrows. We, her family, have been blessed to learn from her godly ways. She was always quick at dismissing credit given to her, but gave the credit to the Lord.

Memorials may be left to St. Paul Lutheran School.
