Ula Machovec, 99, of Fort Dodge, passed away Saturday July 12, 2014 at the Gowrie Care Center.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge with Pastor David Kruse officiating. There will be no visitation. Palmer Funeral Home in Gowrie is serving the family.

Ula is survived by her daughters, Linda (Alan) Eckhoff of Henderson, NV; Judith (Dennis) McKenney of Somers; three grandsons, Todd Eckhoff; Jason (Cherri) McKenney; Christopher (Brandi) McKenney; three granddaughters, Teresa (Marty) Lahart; Melinda (Eric) Candee; Candace Walker; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Dale Crummer of San Diego, CA; and sister, Donna Bales of West Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ren and Celinda (Colburn) Crummer; husband, Gerald Machovec; son, Lanny Machovec; brother, Howard Crummer; sisters, Una Amandas; Doris Duncan; and great granddaughter, Katelynn Lahart.

Ula Crummer was born September 4, 1914 at Pocahontas, IA and graduated from Gowrie High School. She was united in marriage to Gerald Machovec on March 28, 1937 in Duncombe. They lived in Fort Dodge, Des Moines, Webster City, and returned to Fort Dodge. Ula was very active in the Riverside Methodist Church in Fort Dodge in her earlier years. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church, Fort Dodge.
