Pat Kane, 80, of Fort Dodge passed away on Saturday July 5, 2014 in Waynes-ville, MO. The Memorial Mass in honor of Pat Kane and his daughter Lisa Martin will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday July 11, 2014 at Corpus Christi Church. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service on Friday at Corpus Christi Church. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Pat was born in Emmetsburg, IA on February 16, 1934 to Dude and Mary Kane. He grew up and graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1952. He then served in the U.S. Army in Germany for 2 years as a WW II Vet. Pat married Conny Jensen in 1960 in Emmetsburg. Pat worked for Tom Kelly Ford for 33 years, then Campbell Motors as a used car manager and LeRoy’s Auto as a salesman before retiring. He loved spending time with his family and friends and his dog Max. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising quarter horses.

Pat is survived by his children Deb (Denny) Barnes, David (Barbara) Kane, Mike (Jeni) Kane; his son-in-law Leon Martin; 9 grandchildren his sisters Mary Blake, Kathy (Gene) Meyers and Margaret (Duane) Twait; his sister-in-laws Ruth Kane and Inge Manautou. Pat was preceded in death by his wife Conny; his daughter Lisa Martin; his brothers George and James Kane; his brother-in-law Jack Blake and his longtime friend Jim O’Brien.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family for their further discretion.
