Crystal R. Crimmins-Leadley, 53 “and happy to be”, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her home after a courageous battle.

A Celebration of Crystal’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Rodney Leadley of Fort Dodge; sons, Matthew Crimmins and his wife Rachele, Sam Leadley, and her daughter, Lucy Leadley, all of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Crimmins and Justus McNeil, both of Fort Dodge; mother, Verda Crimmins of Fort Dodge; siblings, Candace (Mike) Pavik, Charles “Chuck” (Vickie) Crimmins Jr., Cindy Crimmins, Corey (Michelle) Crimmins, Clayton Crimmins, and Carmen Crimmins, all of Fort Dodge; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles R. Crimmins and her sister, Cathy Crimmins.

Crystal Crimmins was born on November 6, 1960 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Following her education she worked at various jobs. On August 10, 1991 she was united in marriage to Rodney Dean Leadley and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Crystal worked in the dietary department at the Marian Home and later at Bickford Cottages. She then became the dietary supervisor at Green Leaf Health Center until it closed. She had most recently been a transport official for Coach America. She enjoyed watching cooking shows on the Food Network. Crystal loved watching her family at the race track and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
