Plea and sentencing hearings continued

The plea and sentencing hearings for Lesslie Rouse and Megan Rae have been continued to June 30.

Rouse, 31, and Rae, 27, both of Lehigh, are each facing charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and child endangerment.

The pair was initially scheduled to have their hearing Monday, but Judge Gary McMinimee continued the hearing until June 30.

Man injured in motorcycle accident

BADGER – One man was injured Sunday night after the motorcycle he was riding rolled over.

The victim, Ryan Sawyer, was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

According to the Iowa State Patrol accident report, Sawyer was riding his motorcycle eastbound on 170th Street while trying to elude law enforcement.

He lost control of his motorcycle on a curve, causing it to end up in the south ditch.

The report stated that Sawyer’s motorcycle flipped several times, throwing the driver off.

The accident was reported at 11:28 p.m. near the intersection of 170th Street and National Avenue.

The crash remains under investigation.
