Police seek info in robbery case

A man was robbed of money at gunpoint Saturday night and Fort Dodge Police are looking to make an arrest in the case.

The incident was reported to police at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday.

Police Chief Tim Carmody said officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Ninth Street after a report of a robbery came in.

Officers located the victim, Lucas Osborne, 25, of Fort Dodge, who said he pulled his vehicle on the side of the road when a man approached him. Osborne told officers the man got inside the vehicle, and using a handgun, demanded money from Osborne.

After receiving an undetermined amount of money, the man fled the scene on foot.

Osborne was not hurt in the robbery.

Carmody said “officers have strong leads and a potential suspect,” though he didn’t identify who that potential suspect was.
