Gaels win CYO finale

CARROLL – The sixth-ranked (Class 2A) St. Edmond baseball team blanked Bishop Garrigan by a 10-0 final at the CYO Tournament here Sunday.

Hank Crimmins went 3-for-4 offensively with four RBI and two runs scored for the Gaels (6-3 overall).

Colin Flattery, Robert Flattery and Landon Hughett all added a pair of hits for SEHS. Robert Flattery and Jason Setterdahl both drove in two, while Hughett, Michael Sharkey and Sam Dougall each scored twice.

Robert Flattery (1-0) went the distance on the mound, allowing just three hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

For the Golden Bears (7-5), Reece Wadle contributed a double. Andrew Miller and Joel Vaske each had singles.

The Gaels return to action tonight at Clear Lake. Garrigan visits Hampton-Dumont this evening.
