Dodger girls lose to Nevada

The Fort Dodge girls soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Nevada on Thursday at Dodger Stadium.

The two teams fought to a 0-0 tie in the first half.

Fort Dodge (4-9 overall) got on the board first from an Iris Piemann goal with 33 minutes left.

Nevada then tacked on three goals for the win.

“We played hard and had the same amount of attacks that they did,” said Fort Dodge head coach Nathan?Ramthun. “We hung in the whole game.

“Our defense was good and we had good ball movement.”

The Dodgers are back in action today when they host Mason City in their season finale.
