Loree Clarken, 95, of Fort Dodge passed away on Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Simpson Memorial Health Center. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with burial following at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Loree was born in Rockwell City, IA on November 4, 1918 to Percy and Estella (Clark) Leadley. She graduated from Mallard High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to T.W. “Woody” Clarken on June 5, 1942 in St. Joe, MO. She worked as a Lab Tech for Land O’ Lakes for 14 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Iowa and Fort Dodge Bowling Associations. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and gardening.

Loree is survived by her nieces Renee (Leo) Dencklau of Fort Dodge, Kathy (Bill) Taute of Des Moines, Michele (Kent) Paeper of Humbolt and Lori (Kevin) Bauer of Paton, Karen (Butch) Adams of Ankeny; her nephew Kim (Roxanne) Leadley of Fort Dodge; her sister-in-law Shirley Leadley of Humboldt; 12 great nieces and nephews, 19 great-great nieces and nephews and 1 on the way; and 1 great-great-great and 1 on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband T.W. “Woody” Clarken; her parents Percy and Estella and her brothers Bernard “Hop” Leadley and Bill Leadley.
