Raiders claim title, advance

ORANGE CITY – The East Sac County girls clipped Unity Christian to claim a Class 3A, Region 1A title here Monday at Lansmeer Golf Club.

Behind 88s from Makayla Ernst and Jamie Highland, the Raiders fired a 376 – one shot better than Unity Christian.

Lindsey Quirk added a 92 for East Sac County. MOC-Floyd Valley’s Anna Clemens was medalist with an 84.

Qualifiers move to the Regional 1 meet in Milford next Tuesday at Woodlyn Hills Golf Course.

Livengood leads Cowgirls

FOREST CITY – Mikaela Livengood’s 89 helped lead the Clarion-Goldfield girls to a Class 3A, Region 1B title here Monday at Bear Creek Golf Course.

Livengood was runner-up to Alex Mankle of Okoboji, who fired an 80. The Pioneers were second to the Cowgirls in the team standings, as C-G shot a 393.

Along with Livengood’s strong round, Shanee Tate shot a 95 to finish fourth.

Algona was third, just missing out on advancing, but individuals Courtney Yeoman and Chyenna Julios moved on. Yeoman shot a 94 to place third and Julius a 99 for fifth.

Qualifiers move to the Regional 1 meet in Milford next Tuesday at Woodlyn Hills Golf Course.

Titans finish fourth

LAKE CITY – The South Central Calhoun girls finished fourth at a Class 2A, Region 1B meet here Monday.

The Titans fired a 443, as Audubon and West Monona advanced.

Susie Bylund of Audubon was meet-medalist with an 82.

Capesius, Garrigan capture titles

BRITT – The Bishop Garrigan girls shot a 380 to claim top honors here Monday in a Class 1A, Region 1C meet.

The Golden Bears were led by meet medalist Alexa Capesius, as she shot an 80. Chloe Garman added a 96 for the Golden Bears, who topped Rockford by 14 strokes.

West Bend-Mallard’s Jennalyn Thul was runner-up and qualified with a 94.

Qualifiers move on to the Regional 1 final in Hartley on next Tuesday.

Mustangs, Eagles both move on

BURNSIDE – The Newell-Fonda and Southeast Webster-Grand girls claimed top spots at a Class 1A, Region 2C event here Monday, advancing to next week.

The Mustangs were first with a 439, as Jade Hess fired a team-best 100. The Eagles shot a 476 thanks to Kennedy Gallentine’s 100, as well.

Abby Christensen carded a 110 for Newell-Fonda and Claudia Larsen a 114. Sage Michalski added a 114 for Southeast Webster-Grand.

Rachel Potter of Laurens-Marathon advanced as an individual thanks to her fourth place finish and 113. The Chargers were third overall.

Qualifiers move on to the Regional 2 final in Griswold on next Tuesday at Griswold Golf and Country Club.
