Guido trial moved to July
GOLDFIELD – A woman accused of sexually assaulting a child will now stand trial in July after the proceedings were continued.
Diana Guido, 49, of Goldfield, is scheduled to stand trial on July 15 in Wright County. Her trial had previously been scheduled for June 3.
She is facing charges of second-degree sexual abuse, indecent contact with a child, indecent exposure and dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to a minor.
Guido is accused of sexually assaulting a girl, between the ages of 10 and 11, between 2011 and 2013. The alleged incidents happened in Guido’s Goldfield home, according to the criminal complaints filed against her.
She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Eagle Grove Police Department investigated the case, which was initiated following an investigation by the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Investigators are still seeking Guido’s husband, Leonardo Guido-Acosta, 40, on a warrant for second-degree sexual abuse.
