Guido trial moved back

GOLDFIELD – A woman accused of committing sex crimes on a child has had her trial date moved back one month.

Diana Guido, 49, of Goldfield, will stand trial beginning June 3 in Wright County.

She had previously been scheduled to stand trial on May 6.

Guido is facing charges of second-degree sexual abuse, indecent contact with a child, indecent exposure and dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to a minor.

It’s alleged that Guido sexually assaulted a girl between the ages of 10 and 11 between 2011 and 2013.

The alleged incidents happened in Guido’s Goldfield home, according to the criminal complaints.

The case, which was investigated by the Eagle Grove Police Department, began after an investigation by the Iowa Department of Human Services.

In addition to Guido, her husband, Leonardo Guido-Acosta, is facing a charge of second-degree sexual abuse. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
