Dodger girls lose season opener

WEST?DES?MOINES – The Fort Dodge girls golf team dropped their season opener to Dowling on Wednesday.

The Dodgers (0-1 overall) lost 201-227.

“For the first time being out and not being able to practice much, we were pretty content,” said Fort Dodge head coach Kristi Clark. “The weather was horrible with big wind gusts and now we’ll see what (today) brings for us.”

Dowling twin sisters Ty and Erica Olberding were meet medalists with 48’s.

Fort Dodge’s Kylie Kuiper led the Dodgers with a 53.

Also counting for the Dodgers was Jozelynn Porter (55), Payton?Christy (58) and Chloee Narber (61).

Also competing was Elizabeth Gollob (64) and Alex Hays (70).

Competing for the Fort Dodge JV was Emma Gibson?(72), Payton?Crouch (75), Emily Gosselin (75)?and Madison Gordon?(76).

The Dodgers are back in action today at the Marshalltown Invitational.
