Dodgers compete in Des Moines
DES MOINES – The Fort Dodge boys track team got a taste of Drake on Saturday, running in the Jim Duncan Invitational in Des Moines.
The Dodgers, who only competed in a few events, was part of the meet that had all 19 CIML teams in attendance.
Senior Riley Prescott finished second in the shot put, with a throw of 49-9.5. Prescott was leading the vent, until Waukee’s Ross Reynolds threw a 51-5.5 on his last throw.
Jake Porter (36.4.5) was fourth in the shot put.
Keegan Myers was eighth in the 100 (11.8) and Sam Cook was 12th in the 100 (11.98). Myers was also 12th in the long jump with a leap of 18-5.
Lance Williamson was 11th in the 400-meter hurdles (60.02) and Sam Kolacia was 12th in the 800 in a time of 2:08.01.
The Dodgers are back in action on Tuesday. when they travel to Waterloo.
