Area Easter egg hunts are scheduled

The Fort Dodge Moose Lodge annual Easter egg hunt will be Saturday with registration from 10:45 a.m. to noon. The hunt will begin at 12:15 p.m. The cost will be 50 cents per child, and children must be present to register.

There will be four age groups: 18 months through 3 years old, prekindergarten through kindergarten, first and second grade, and third and fourth grade. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the event.

Rain date will be April 26.

Algona: Noon Saturday at Central Park, for children age 9 and younger; sponsored by the Algona Kiwanis.

Callender: 10 a.m. Saturday at the city park.

Clarion: 8 a.m. Saturday at the shelter house at Clarion Aquatic Center Park, the Easter bunny will arrive with refreshments and will be available for pictures. The drawing will begin at 9 a.m., the hunt will begin at 9:30 a.m. For children through fifth grade. In case of bad weather, festivities will be at the high school.

Dayton: 10 a.m. Saturday at the school grounds. For children prekindergarten through fourth grade. In case of bad weather, the hunt will be held in the gymnasium of the old high school in Dayton. Sponsored by the Lions Club.

Eagle Grove: 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Park.

Emmetsburg: 11 a.m. Saturday, participants should meet at the Smith Wellness Center gym.

Farnhamville: 11 a.m. Saturday at the city park, for children preschool through second-grade.

Gilmore City: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Gilmore City Bradgate football and softball fields, for children up through third grade. There will be crafts for kids.

Goldfield: 10 a.m. Saturday at the city park, sponsored by the Community Women’s Club, for children from pre-kindergarten through third grade. In case of rain, event will be held at the elementary school.

Gowrie: 1 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Park, sponsored by the Gowrie Development Corp.

Humboldt/Dakota City: 10 a.m. Saturday at Taft Park, sponsored by Noon Kiwanis. Open to children in preschool through third grade. THe Easter Bunny will be available for pictures.

Lake City: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Opportunity Living, 1890 E. Main St., Easter Eggstravaganza. Egg hunt at 10 a.m. for children up to age 12, breakfast, pictures with the Easter bunny and silent auction of Easter baskets.

Lake View: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Speaker Park. Sponsored by the Black Hawk Men’s Club.

Lehigh: Noon Saturday at the Lehigh Ball Park.

Livermore: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lotts Creek Park.

Lohrville: 1 p.m. Saturday at Lohrville City Park, for children up to sixth grade. Sponsored by the Lohrville Lions Club.

Lu Verne: 10 a.m. Saturday at the school playground.

Manson: 10 a.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds park, for children up to fourth grade.

Otho: 1 p.m. Saturday at the city park. Sponsored by the Otho Fire and Rescue Department.

Sac City: 2 p.m. Friday at the Park View Care Center, for children 1 to 8 years old.

Somers: 10 a.m. Saturday at the city park, for children preschool through sixth grade.

Whittemore: 10 a.m. Saturday at Noah’s Park, for children 12 years old and under.
