Repaving set on highways 20 and 17

WEBSTER CITY – Repaving on U.S. Highway 20 and Iowa Highway 17 in Hamilton County will cause lanes on both highways to be closed periodically until October, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The work will begin on Monday.

On U.S. Highway 20, intermittent lane closures will occur in both directions between Iowa Highway 17 and Hamilton County Road R38.

On Iowa Highway 17, intermittent lane closures will occur between Hamilton County Road D65 and U.S. Highway 20. A pilot car and workers with flags will guide vehicles through the construction zone.

The lane closures will occur during daylight hours, Mondays through Saturdays.

Mathy Construction Co., of Onalaska, Wis., is the contractor on both highway repaving jobs.
