FARNHAMVILLE – Caroline Schwering, 75, of Farnhamville, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Caroline’s wishes are to be cremated and have no services. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Caroline Peterson, the daughter of Edward and Ladania Peterson was born September 18, 1938 in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1957. On April 14, 1960, Caroline married Bernard (Bert) Schwering. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and target shooting.
Caroline is survived by her husband, Bert and their daughter, Theresa Rykhus of Farnhamville; granddaughters, Pamela (Josh) Gollob of Fort Dodge and Cassandra Rykhus of Farnhamville; sister, Gwen (Jack) Rejsa; brothers-in-law, Walt O’Connor, Gilbert (Peggy) Schwering, and Tom (Ann) Schwering; Sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Schwering, Loretta Schwering and Phyllis Schwering; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Clayton Peterson and Doug Peterson; sisters, Charlene O’Connor and Vivian Anderson Wangler; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Peterson, Dwane Anderson, Donald Schwering, Charlene Schwering, Leonard Schwering, Mercedes Schwering, Albert Schwering and Kenneth Schwering.
