MOORLAND – Christopher (Chris) Dean Ott, 49, of Moorland, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, 524 2nd street Moorland, Iowa 50566.

Survived by his wife Colleen Ott of Moorland and parents Sandy Hirscher, Joe Hirscher and Jesse Ott. Grandmother Nelda Niquette. Children, Jackie Arad, Warren and Micah Ott, Christopher Ott, Katie Ott, Christina Robinson, Logan and Chelsey Ott, Amy Edwards, Mandy and Carl Lindemann, Ross Edwards, Jake Edwards, Holly Edwards, 8 grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris Ott was born on September 27, 1964 in Lynwood, California. He graduated from Rowland Heights High in Rowland Heights, California in 1982. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1985 at Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was Married to Colleen Olson February 15, 2014. Was employed at Was Broken Pallet Co. for nearly 20 years. Served as a Moorland City Council member. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, dabbling with computers and spending time with family.
