Foy held on bond
A Fort Dodge man accused of stabbing another man in the Walmart parking lot has been ordered held on bond by a Webster County Magistrate.
Shamar Foy, 25, had his bond set at $5,000 by Magistrate Steve Kersten Wednesday morning in Webster County Magistrate Court.
Foy is facing one count of willful injury for allegedly stabbing Adam Gilson, 29, in the parking lot of Walmart, 3036 First Ave S.
According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, Foy and Gilson were fighting in the parking lot around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Gilson was allegedly stabbed twice by Foy, who fled the scene in a green Pontiac Grand Am, but was arrested minutes later in the Hy-Vee parking lot.
Gilson was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center where he was treated for stab wounds to his upper left thigh before being released later Tuesday.
The item that Gilson was stabbed with has not been identified.
In addition to the preliminary hearing, Kersten also issued a no-contact order between Foy and Gilson.
