FD teen charged with sexual assault
A Fort Dodge teenager has been ordered held on bond after being charged as an adult in connection with an alleged sexual assault.
Jordan T. Paul, 17, of Fort Dodge, has been charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault.
According to the criminal complaint, filed with the Webster County attorney’s office, Paul allegedly forced a female child to commit a sexual act against her will.
The alleged sexual assault happened on Sunday.
Paul made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Monday morning.
He appeared in person in front of Magistrate Steve Kersten, who ordered Paul held on $25,000 bond.
Kersten also scheduled Paul’s preliminary hearing for March 12.
Because he is under 18, Paul will be held at the Central Iowa Juvenile Center in Eldora instead of the Webster County Jail.
