Gary graduated from Fort Dodge High School with the class of 1962 and attended mechanic school in Kansas City. He was united in marriage to Jane Craig on August 16, 1969 at the 5th Avenue Baptist Church and the couple made their home at Humboldt where they raised their children. Gary worked as a mechanic in Humboldt for many years and retired from Corn Belt Power. He put his skills as a mechanic to work in one of the great joys in his life, building and rebuilding cars.

Gary was a faithful member of the First Evangelical Free Church and during his many health issues in the past few years, kept his faith in God for everything. He loved the Lord and shared God’s love with those he met.
