King charged with escape

Tanner King has been charged with escape in connection with an incident where he allegedly jumped off the roof of the Webster County Law Enforcement Center.

King, 23, of Fort Dodge, landed in the alley between Seventh and Eighth streets near First Avenue South between the LEC and the former Messenger Printing building on Sept. 5, 2012.

He is being held on $5,000 bond.

The case will be prosecuted by the Iowa attorney general’s office because King has filed a lawsuit against Webster County.
