HUMBOLDT – No. 11 (Class 2A) Webster City is headed back to state wrestling duals tournament, besting seventh-ranked Humboldt Tuesday night, 35-28.
The Lynx (23-3 overall) set a new school-record for dual wins, but none will be as remembered as this one over the Wildcats (21-3).

State duals are set for next Wednesday in Des Moines at Wells Fargo Arena – a day ahead of the traditional individual state tournament.
This marks the third time in four years Webster City has qualified for state duals, also going to the final eight in 1991, 2011 and ’12. They placed second in ’91 and fifth in their last appearance.
The Wildcats last qualified for state duals in 2001 and have gone four times total.
