Alleged abuser still sought
CLARION – A Goldfield woman charged with sexually assaulting a child has had her preliminary hearing scheduled after her initial appearance in court.
Diana Guido, 49, of Goldfield, made her initial appearance in Wright County Magistrate Court early Thursday afternoon. She has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse, indecent contact, indecent exposure and dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to a minor.
Guido appeared in person after posting bond.
At the hearing, Wright County Magistrate Dani Eisentrager scheduled Guido’s preliminary hearing for Feb. 27.
However, Eisentrager added that hearing may be waived.
“You will be in contact with your attorney prior to that hearing,” she told Guido. “Your attorney will determine if you need to be here.”
Guido is accused of sexually assaulting a girl, between the ages of 10 and 11. According to the criminal complaint, the sexual abuse happened between 2011 and 2013.
She also allegedly showed the child “obscene material.”
The alleged incidents happened at Guido’s Goldfield home, according to the criminal complaints.
In addition to Guido, her husband, Leonardo Guido-Acosta, has also been charged with second-degree sexual abuse. A warrant for Guido-Acosta’s arrest has been issued by the Eagle Grove Police Department, which investigated the case.
Anyone with information on Guido-Acosta is asked to call the EGPD at (515) 448-4793.
