Guest judges will rate ‘Souper’ fare

St Paul Lutheran Church will hold its fifth annual Souper Bowl Sunday soup challenge Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Several soups will be available to sample provided by church groups and families and members of the church.

Votes will be determined in dollars and celebrity judges, Fort Dodge City Manager David Fierke, Police Chief Tim Carmody, Fire Chief Kent Hulett, the Rev. Paul Sieveking, president of the Iowa District West, and St. Paul pastors the Rev. Allen Henderson and the Rev. Nathan Peitsch will judge the competition.

The winner will be presented with a golden ladle at 12:45 p.m. Funds raised will go toward the purchase of new heating units for classrooms at St. Paul Lutheran School.
