JEFFERSON – Norma Miller, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. Visitation will be held Friday, January 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jefferson at 2 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date.
Norma was born in Wall Lake, Iowa on May 3, 1928 to Martin Carroll and Marjorie Northway Carroll. She was united in marriage to Donald Miller on April 5, 1947. Don and Norma spent most of their married life residing in Lohrville, Iowa where Norma was a homemaker, talented seamstress and devoted student of God’s word. Her firm faith in the bible’s promises comforted her throughout her lengthy illness and she served her creator actively as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Norma is survived by daughter, Gayla (Larry) Hintz of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Sharon (Dave) Otis of Ogden, Iowa; son, Kenneth (Roberta) Miller of Lake City, Iowa; daughter, Melanie (Robert) Wahl of Jefferson, Iowa.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; infant son, Michael Wayne; infant daughter, Donna Jean; parents, Martin and Marjorie Carroll; brothers, Keith Carroll, Martin Carroll, Jr., Charles Carroll and Earl Carroll; sisters, Marcia Gosch and Betty Henkelman; and granddaughter, Emily Huen-Titus.
