Lucille M. “Lucy” Heun, 93, of Fort Dodge passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Marian Home.

Funeral services Monday 10:00 a.m. Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. all at the funeral home.

Lucille is survived by herchildren, Richard (Ronnie) Heun of Duncombe; Edward (Irene) Heun of Fort Dodge; Roger (Karen) Heun of Fort Dodge; Dr. Russell (Carleen) Heun of Fort Dodge; Pat (Mike) Gregersen of Humboldt; Robert E. (Karen) Heun of Otho; Bonnie (Chris) Stok of Badger; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and her sister, Marigene Lennon of Barnum.

She is preceded in death by parents, Arthur G. and Mary (McCormick) Thoma; husband, Robert Heun in 2009; brothers, ArthurThoma, Jerome Thoma, Cletus Thoma; and sister, Cecelia Witte.

Lucille Mary “Lucy” Heun was born November 9, 1920 in Pocahontas County. She attended Gilmore City high school and graduated in 1938. Lucy then went on and received her teaching certificate from Buena Vista. She was a school teacher in Pocahontas until she was united in marriage with Robert Heun on May 26, 1941. During that year, they moved to Webster County and farmed until 1970. They then moved to Kennedy Park where Bob was a Director until 1984. Following retirement the couple moved into Fort Dodge. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Rosarians, and the Badger 39’ers.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
