Christmas at First Presbyterian

A musical presentation entitled “News from the Angels” will be held Sunday at the 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. services, at the First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Fifth Ave. N.

The program involves dialogue between Mary (Marlene Barnes) and the angel, Gabriel (Terry Dessinger), as well as a couple of shepherds and a narrator (Ted Hugghins) to elaborate on the news from the angels.

The musical part will be presented by the Chancel Choir directed by Joanne Lee and accompanied by Andrea Minikis. John McCartney and Ryan Ebel will be playing saxophone, and Alex Jackson will be playing percussion.

The Rev. Austin Hill will be preaching at both services.

First Presbyterian will have three services on Christmas Eve at 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m. The 4 p.m. service will be family oriented, the 7 p.m. service will be traditional with the Chancel Choir singing, and the 10 p.m. service will be more contemporary. Everyone is welcome.
