Two killed in Sac Co. accident
EARLY – Two men were killed and a third was injured early Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident west of Early.
The men, whose names have not been released pending notification of family, were traveling in a minivan westbound on U.S. Highway 20.
Sac County Sheriff Ken McClure said the driver lost control, causing the minivan to roll. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, and back seat passenger, who was not, were both killed in the accident.
The front seat passenger, who was also belted, was taken to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, then transferred to Mercy Hospital in Sioux City.
McClure said it doesn’t appear that weather or slick roads contributed to the accident.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sac County Sheriff’s Office.
