Triton men will host ABCD Prep

The Iowa Central men’s basketball team will be back in action tonight after a week layoff.

The Tritons (6-4 overall) will host ABCD Prep. Tip off begins at 6 p.m. inside Hodges Fieldhouse.

Iowa Central knocked off Dakota County in its last outing and has won four of their last five games.

Starting for the Tritons will be Jesse Jones, Dylan Travis, Winston Yergler, Ky Kramer and Jasmin Biberovikj.

“They’re pretty good,” said Dennis Pilcher. “They have kids from all over the country. A.J. Gross is a great shooter for them.

“They also have 6-9 Emmanuel Malou out of Australia, who is going to wind up at Iowa State.”

The Tritons have scored 90-plus points in their last five games.

“The No. 1 thing is we have to block out and rebound with them,” Pilcher said. “We have to be able to guard the dribble and more than likely they’ll play a lot of zone.

“We have to go inside, outside on the zone.”
