Ribbon cutting ceremony for FDMS?set

The Fort Dodge Community School District will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly constructed Fort Dodge Middle School and auditorium at 5:30 p.m. today. The public is invited to attend.

“We’re excited to invite members of the community to the Fort Dodge Middle School to see the completed auditorium,” Superintendent Doug Van Zyl said. “The ribbon cutting marks not only the opening of the auditorium, but the launch of a new era of education for middle school students in the Fort Dodge schools.”

The ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium with the help of the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance. The auditorium entrance (west set of doors) will open at 5 p.m. to offer community members an opportunity to view the completed auditorium prior to the ceremony.

Following the ribbon cutting, building tours will be available until 6:20 p.m. for individuals who have not yet seen the new school.
