Triton women roll

The seventh-ranked (NJCAA Div. II) Iowa Central women’s basketball team had no trouble with AIB JV Thursday night, crusing to a 110-55 victory at Hodges Fieldhouse.

Lydia Harvey, a St. Edmond graduate and High Point University recruit, paced the balanced attack for the Tritons (4-1 overall) with a game-high 19 points.

Babaye Oja (17), Miliakere Koyamainavure (16), Katie Dentlinger (16) and Ashley Ray (15) were the other top offensive performers for Iowa Central, which went 13-for-28 from outside the arc.

“It was just nice to see our shots fall and the floodgates open up,” said ICCC head coach Craig Carlson. “Harvey finally got the monkey off her back with five three-pointers.”

Next action for the Tritons is Saturday when they host Black Hawk (Ill.). Tip is set for 1 p.m.
