School board will appoint member to vacant seat

The Fort Dodge Community School District will meet Monday at the district office, 104 S. 17th St.

The board will appoint a new member to a vacant seat.

Also, the board will have its first student and staff recognitions. A student from each building level – elementary, middle school and senior high – and a staff member will be honored for their accomplishments in October.

The board will elect an Iowa Association of School Boards assembly representative.

Doug Van Zyl, FDCSD superintendent, will update the board on district business.
