Woman charged in multi-county chase

A Fort Dodge woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase throughout several counties.

The incident began Friday morning after a man, identified by police as Jacob Wood, 20, of Central City, ran from a Fort Dodge Police officer who was trying to speak with him. The FDPD said Wood jumped into a Jeep, driven by Trisha Woodman, 28, of Fort Dodge.

The chase took officers through multiple counties before finally ending in Wright County after Iowa State Patrol troopers stopped the Jeep using tire deflation devices.

Wood was arrested on outstanding warrants and Woodman was charged with eluding.

She is being held on $4,000 bond.
