Richard “Dick” Lynch, 83, of Fort Dodge passed away on Tuesday October 8, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday October 11, 2013 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Ed Durand officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Richard was born in Fort Dodge on July 1, 1930 to Michael and Viola (Quigley) Lynch. He grew up in Clare and attended school there until moving to Fort Dodge. He joined the US Air Force and served from 1952 to 1953. He married Mildred Greehey and they were married for 58 years. He worked for Hormel’s for 29 years. Richard was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved tinkering in his shop.

Richard is survived by his wife Keeka; children Pam (Don) Peters of Fort Dodge, Mike (Sherry) Lynch of Fort Dodge and Pat (Deb) Lynch of Buffalo, WY; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Viola; his brothers Paul Lynch and Francis Lynch and his sister Zella Thompson.
