Trott pleads not guilty

ROCKWELL CITY – Corey Trott, who is accused of killing Rockwell City Police Officer Jamie Buenting on Sept. 13, has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Trott, 32, made the written plea via his attorney, Charles Kenville, on Monday.

No trial date has been set.

Trott is accused of shooting and killing Buenting during a standoff in Rockwell City on Sept. 13. Trott later surrendered without further incident.
