Annual Life Chain is set for Oct. 6

St. Edmond Respect for Life along with St. Paul Lutheran Church will sponsor the Fort Dodge annual Life Chain from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 6 beginning at St. Paul, 400 S. 13th St.

Parishioners from both Holy Trinity Parish and St. Paul Lutheran will join with the St. Edmond Respect for Life group as they line Fifth Avenue South from St. Paul to the west. Participants stand in silent prayer while many hold pro-life signs.

Life Chain is a national event held on the first Sunday in October for over 25 years. The purpose is to gather people together for a peaceful public display of prayer for an end to abortion. The event is open to people of all faiths from all over Webster County. If you would like to participate, meet at the St. Paul Lutheran Church parking lot at 11:45 a.m. Signs will be distributed followed by an opening prayer.
