Stratford man held on bond
STRATFORD A man accused of setting himself and a family member on fire has been ordered held on bond in the case.
David A. Lundberg, 43, of Stratford, was held on $250,000 bond following his appearance in Hamilton County Magistrate Court Wednesday.
Magistrate Joseline Greeley also scheduled Lundbergs preliminary hearing for Oct. 3 and issued a no-contact order between Lundberg and the alleged victim, Dakota Buse, 20.
Lundberg has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly set himself and Buse on fire Tuesday afternoon. Lundberg allegedly poured gasoline around himself in a garage in Stratford. According to the Hamilton County Sheriffs Office, when Buse tried to stop Lundberg from lighting the fuel, both were burned.
Buse was initially taken to Van Diest Medical Center, but was then airlifted to the Iowa Burn Unit in Iowa City.
Lundberg was treated for his injuries at Van Diest Medical Center and released. Hes also charged with willful injury, domestic abuse assault and reckless use of fire.
