ROCKWELL CITY Muriel M. Davis, 71, of Rockwell City, died Monday, September 16, 2013, at home in Rockwell City following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21st, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Rockwell City with Rev. Jim Mossman officiating. Burial will be at Greenfield Township Cemetery, Knierim. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday, September 20th, at Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Muriel is survived by her husband, George of Rockwell City; children, Jim and Tami Davis of Gowrie; Bill and Kris Davis of Rockwell City; Tom Davis of Rockwell City; Dan and Jill Davis of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman C. Schneider, mother, Mildred (Lundmark) Kenning, brother, Leland Roy Schneider and step-father, Arthur Kenning.

Muriel M. Schneider was born July 8, 1942 in Storm Lake. She graduated from Manson High School. Muriel was united in marriage with George Davis at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Rockwell City on November 20, 1960. Muriel worked many jobs over the years including secretary, church organist, office manager, custodial services and a personal care provider. She retired from Opportunity Living in 2007. Muriel was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Muriel enjoyed her family (which also included her dogs) and friends, playing piano and organ, painting and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
