First fortnight a success
To the editor:
Iowa Central students have had a very busy and fun first two weeks of school with the many activities and events the students have been able to take part in. Cookouts, DJ/dance, carnival rides, bingo and pizza, comedian, zipline, NASCAR simulator and an aquatics night at Rosedale Rapids are just a few of the many activities our students have had a chance to participate in. Also the campus hosted a Community Welcome Back for the students where businesses from our community came in and showcased what they have to offer, any job opportunities and we would like to thank them all and especially the Fort Dodge Growth Alliance and Todd Redenius for assisting us in making that connection possible. Also would like to thank Fort Dodge Parks and Rec and Lori Branderhorst for allowing our students to have a college night at the beautiful Rosedale Rapids and enjoying those wonderful facilities. Finally we would like to thank the Fort Dodge Police Dept. and Joelyn Johnson for taking the time to come out and delivering a great message about alcohol awareness and the negatives of texting while driving. Again, thank you to all the Fort Dodge community for welcoming our students to Iowa Central.
