FARNHAMVILLE – James R. (Beau) Peterson, age 71, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines. Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Farnhamville with Pastor Robert Zellmer officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. till service time on Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife Sue of Farnhamville, sons Joshua (Tomoko) James of New York City, Stacy (Dara) Peterson of Ames, Ben (Jodi) Jensen of Gowrie, and John Jensen of Omaha; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters Marj (Marion) Striegel of Oskaloosa, Peg (Terry) Stickrod of Farnhamville, Phylis Brend of Lohrville. He was preceded in death by his parents Maynard and Jennie (Kautin) Peterson.

James Raymond Peterson was born April 7, 1942 at Forest City and graduated from the Cedar Valley High School. Jim had numerous employment including Bowie Manufacturing, Bruntlett Elevator, Farmers Coop, Air Gas, and the mail truck. Jim served as a volunteer fireman-EMT on the Farnhamville Fire Department for over 25 years. Jim was an avid musician playing in several bands for over 40 years throughout the area. He was most recently known for BEAU FEST.
