Brice Dillon Bergquist, 20, of Ft. Dodge, Iowa formerly of Stratford, Iowa passed away in Ft. Dodge on Friday, August 16, 2013.

He was born on July 26, 1993 in Webster City, Iowa, the son of Scott and Shawn (Ubben) Bergquist.

Brice was a 2011 graduate of Webster City High School and was employed as a laborer.

Brice had a passion for living life to the fullest. Ever since he was little, he was always living on the edge. From riding dirt bikes, four-wheeling, skate boarding and even riding on the hogs on the farm, it was no surprise that he took an interest in riding bulls and partaking in the wild horse race.

He was a caring and loveable person that always had a smile on his face. He loved his family, brothers, sister, girlfriend Jess Peterson and his friends. He will be forever in our hearts, never forgotten and never lost.

Brice was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church and the Circle C Rodeo Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, had a talent to for doing pencil sketch drawings, and loved the rodeo participating in bull riding and wild horse races.

His grandfathers, John Bergquist in August of 1989 and Emerson Roe in October 2004, and 4 cousins preceded him in death.

Survivors include his father Scott Bergquist and wife Amber of Stratford, Iowa; mother Shawn Bergquist of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; a brother Dakon Bergquist of Stratford, Iowa; a step-brother Spencer Kane of Stratford, Iowa; a step-sister Jordan Kane of Waverly, Iowa; grandparents Carlene Solback and husband Rolf of Algona, Iowa, Kay Ubben of Stratford, Iowa, Willis Ubben, Sr. of Calimesa, California and Geraldine Roe of Dayton, Iowa; uncles Alan Bergquist and wife Teresa of Pottsboro, Texas, Willis Ubben, Jr. and wife Elaine and Wally Ubben all of Stratford, Iowa and Dan Roe and wife Terri of Dayton, Iowa; aunts Carla Johnson and husband Marty of Webster City, Iowa, Shannon Ubben of Aurora, Colorado, Sonya Ubben of Grimes, Iowa and Gina Swanson and husband Bruce of Dayton, Iowa; his girlfriend Jess Peterson of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Thursday morning, August 22nd at 10:30 a.m. in the Lutheran Church in Stratford with Pastor Joe Lambert officiating.

Interment will be in the South Marion Cemetery. southeast of Stratford.

Friends may call at the Lutheran Church in Stratford on Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present during that time to greet friends. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In memory of Brice, memorials may be directed to family for a memorial to be determined.
