Josh is survived by his mom and dad, Nancye and Thad Naeve of Humboldt; his sister, Abby Naeve of Humboldt; grandparents, Leonard Rempert of Leesburg, FL, and Richard and Elaine Naeve of Humboldt; his 14 aunts and uncles; and 17 cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Janice Rempert and LaVonne Naeve.
Joshua Benjamin Naeve, the son of Thad and Nancye (Rempert) Naeve, was born June 28, 1994 at Burnsville, Minnesota. The family lived at Apple Valley, Minnesota until moving to Humboldt when Josh was nine months old. He received his education at Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 2013. Josh was very much looking forward to starting his freshman year at Iowa State University this week.
Josh enjoyed his high school years, participating in trap shooting, football, FFA, 4-H, and marching band. Josh had a love of the outdoors, especially hunting, shooting, and working with his dad on the farm. Josh had a strong work ethic that he shared with his sister as the two helped with landscaping the house and building their pool. He enjoyed playing X-Box, riding his motorcycle, playing with his dogs, and taking care of their many pets.
Josh’s buddies, who he considered his brothers, were so important to him. He loved hanging out with them and enjoyed their trip to Florida this spring. He also enjoyed traveling with his parents and sister who cherished their time together.
